Stamperland Pipe Band!
Welcome to the official website of Stamperland Pipe Band, based in the south side of Glasgow, Scotland.
we hope you enjoy your visit.
It's been another successful season for the band despite it being our first year in Grade 3B. Our top goal was to get placed at a major and we came away with the European Champions and Champion of Champions titles. The band has now been upgraded to grade 3A and we're practicing hard to give 2012 everything we've got!
The band currently practices on Monday and Wednesday in Stamperland church halls, Clarkston. See "About Us" for more information.

History
The Band of the 231st Glasgow Company of The Boys Brigade was formed in 1973 under the direction of Pipe Major Jim McGregor wearing the Ancient Gunn tartan.
In 1979 the running of the Band passed to Pipe Major Graham Paterson who remained in charge until 1987. During the late eighties the band changed name to Stamperland and District Pipe Band and they played in RSPBA competition under Pipe Major Robert Wilson.
1989 saw the leadership of the Band return to P/M Graham Paterson, and the BB band reformed. Graham remained in charge through until 2003, during this time the band grew strong and produced many fine pipers and drummers most of whom have now moved on to higher grade bands.
In 2003 Iain Fulton took over the band when Graham Paterson resigned due to work commitments. Over the past eight years the Band has grown and developed and continues to attracted new members. Stamperland Pipe Band was re-launched with a concert "A night in with the Lads" in October 2006 and returned to RSPBA competitions in 2007. In 2011 we saw Iain Fulton step down as Pipe Major due to work commitments and Gary Thomson, a piper within the band, was voted in as our new Pipe Major.
We now have a diverse group of 40 playing members, male and female, as well as some 20 learners, the largest number of members in the bands history! The band have had four very successful seasons since 2007 and hope this continues into 2012.
Stamperland Pipe Band is available for a wide range of entertainment and events. We can do Weddings, Galas, Parades, Funerals, Burns Nights, Hogmanay, Corporate, Dinners, Parties and Overseas events.
